Love this place
great fried dough, super friendly
This place smells more delicious from the street than it actually was. The dough boy was a sweet treat, but not worth the price. I also visited while there was no one else in the store, but I struggled to get the attention of the two employees behind the counter. I probably would not visit again.
Yummy!!!!
Loved their fried dough! Yammy!
The fried bread is great and a perfect amount for 2-4 people... or you can eat the whole thing by yourself which I occasionally do...
For only $6 you can get a doughboy from here that will definitely fill you up, if you can even finish one. Not that it's not tasty, just that it's a lot of food to eat in one sitting. The employees are very friendly and seem to enjoy working here. Overall it's a good place to stop for a snack.
The fry dough was delicious. Perfect amount of cinnamon and sugar and not greasy at all. It was prepared when ordered so it was warm, fresh and fabulous! You’re on vacation, why not treat yourself with a sweet tasty treat! Staff was super friendly and the store had other sweet treats for sale and neat items.
Amazing! 🙂
Ahhhhh the Alaskan fry bread goodness. It’s like a huge giant doughnut, dusted with copious amount of sugar and cinnamon, what’s not to like about it? (Well except my waistline)You can smell the fried sugary goodness from a mile away. Just follow your nose.
The doughboys are to die for and the staff is fast and friendly. The shaved ice was a nice treat as well.
BEST PLACE EVER. It's a must visit place in Skagway Alaska. The cutest owners ever.
Cover with sugar and cinnamon, hot and fresh. Big enough for 2 to share. Very delicious! The best way to start the Skagway adventure!
Staff is very friendly and fast with making the fried bread. Its like getting an elephant ear but better! Love it!
Doughboys have gone up in price from 6 to 7. But still the tastiest thing in town.
Grandkids loved the doughboys!
The doughboy is tasty and is like eating a hot sugar donut. Definitely worth a try.
This place is awesome good value for the money. Good sugar and carb rush.
Huge pizza and delicious.
Loved this fried piece of goodness!!!
It's ok... Like a Beavertail but crispier and less tasty. Friendly service.
I haven't had fry bread in over 30 years and this place sure brought me back to my childhood. I am glad I decided to stop in, it was well worth it.
Yum! A tasty quick snack while wandering the town.
Good food and great service
Excellent spot to stop for a snack with fresh made doughboy. Good price and right off of Broadway.
Yes! Yes! Yes! These rock so much we came back later in the day for a second one! This small unassuming gift shop on a side street of Skagway has these absolutely amazing fried dough treats for only $6! They are cooked to order, not greasy at all and are covered in the perfect amount of cinnamon sugar. Service is quick and the people working there are friendly. It’s not fancy and your napkin is a paper towel but it’s totally worth getting. Drinks and souvenirs are also available.
Great fried bread, taste similar to funnel cake but bready. Also bought a sourdough starter.
Do not miss this stop while in Skagway. Make sure you get a doughboy.
If you're stopping in Skagway, be sure to stop here to get some fry bread. For $6, you get a huge piece of fry bread bathed in sugar and cinnamon. You can't go wrong! My family of 4 shared one, and it was just right for all of us, especially since we were in this eternal state of fullness from always eating on the cruise ship. Looks like all the members of the family that owns it works there, and they were really nice. They also have other items like jams, shirts, and candies. The wait isn't long, so you'll be in and out in no time to explore other parts of the area.
Not much to eat in the town. Who doesn’t like fried dough covered in cinnamon sugar? Was a great snack!
Great folks, awesome Shave ice with a big selection of flavors, giant dough boys that are always fresh.
The flatbread is great. And make sure you get a shaved ice with the "moose milk" add on. It was the best shaved ice that I have ever tasted!
Super friendly service. The doughboy itself is delicious and totally worth trying!
Fresh delicious fry bread
I love this place. The fry bread is super good, and the atmosphere is a lot of fun. The workers are very nice and helpful, and the decor is nice as well. As the other reviewer mentioned, the addition of jams and jellies, many types of sausage, and additional treats is certainly a nice touch.
You can never go wrong with fried dough!
The Klondike doughboy sells food and non-alcoholic drinks as well as locally crafted arts.
Yummy fry dough😋
Despite having the largest cinnamon/sugar fried bread in Alaska you'll find far more things at this nice place.First - friendly people. It's family run and it shows - it has pleasant atmosphere and everyone is very helpful and polite.Second - I'll bet you wondered what all those local berry's would taste like in jams and jelly's. I did - and these guys sell locally grown and made jams and jelly's. And even better? Locally produced honey from the fire weed that grows all over the place. It's worth a trip off the main drag - come for the fry bread. But purchase the jams and jelly's too.
I was meeting up with the crew who was gallivanting all over Broadway in Skagway. We met them at Klondike and I got introduced to the Klondike Doughboy...Alaskan serendipity primo!$6 gets you this thin, fried bread, churro tasting fun that is something I've never come across in all my current travels. The friendly staff makes it fresh for right after you order so it comes to you hot and tasty af. When it cools down and you start chomping on that sweet tasty bread, you don't stop until you're done or you can't eat anymore. What is great is how it's not too sweet and the fried dough texture makes it easy to share like a piece of bread. Just share, tear and eat!The large size also makes it fun to snap/post for your social media fans. Skagway visitors, if you are a fan of churros and/or sugared donuts then a stop at Klondike Doughboy is a must! Do it for the gram! =)
